Mentoren für Unternehmen in Schleswig-Holstein e.V. is a group of experienced entrepreneurs and managers who volunteer their expertise and networks to support companies and start-ups in the region. The association was founded in 2000 by Klaus R. Uschkoreit, former CEO of Provinzial Insurance, and has since developed into a highly regarded advisory body. The mentors are of particular importance to our company.

Who are the mentors?
The association consists of former entrepreneurs and executives who, after concluding their active careers, wish to pass on their expertise and experience to the next generation. These mentors offer their advisory services on a voluntary basis and support companies in the areas of start-ups, business optimization, succession planning, and sustainability. The aim is to strengthen the economy in Schleswig-Holstein and promote sustainable growth through this guidance.

The Executive Board.
At the head of the association is Dorothee Thomanek, Chairwoman, supported by Werner Prühs as Deputy Chairman and other experienced members such as Treasurer Telsche Ott and Secretary Martina Girkens. The Executive Board is complemented by various experts in IT, data protection, and sustainability, all of whom serve on a voluntary basis.

History of the Association.
Since its founding in 2000, the association has provided more than 20 years of successful advisory work. Klaus R. Uschkoreit’s idea of making entrepreneurial expertise available pro bono has proven highly valuable for the regional economy. Today, the association is firmly established within the business landscape of Schleswig-Holstein and collaborates with numerous local and regional partners.
