HSG Fridingen-Mühlheim is more than just a handball club — it is a large handball family. Formed as a joint venture between the two parent clubs of the neighboring communities, TV Fridingen and TV Mühlheim, it has established a strong reputation in the region. With over 300 children in its youth teams, three active women’s teams, and three active men’s teams, the HSG is a permanent fixture in handball sports.
Teams in Focus.
The Handball Family in the Danube Valley
The first women’s team proudly competes in the Baden-Württemberg Oberliga (4th division), while the men’s first team plays in the Verbandsliga. This makes them the club with the highest-ranking teams in the surrounding area.
But what truly sets the HSG apart, however, is its commitment and strong sense of community. Their slogan “Handball Made in the Danube Valley,” underlines that almost all players began their handball careers in the HSG youth program. This creates a unique bond and team spirit that extends far beyond the sport itself.
The men’s first team has been competing in the Oberliga for years and has previously also played in the Württembergliga (5th division). After an impressive 5th-place finish last season, they have set their sights on a top-three finish this year. Their goal: to be in contention for promotion by the end of the season.
What makes this team special? It consists exclusively of homegrown players — athletes who have progressed through all the youth teams and are connected by strong friendships off the court as well.
At home games, they are supported by an average of 350 to 400 fans, and at top matches, by up to 500 enthusiastic spectators.
Player Sponsorship.
A Special Opportunity for Sponsors
This season, the HSG is offering a special opportunity for sponsors. Companies can assume sponsorship of a player through a one-time donation. In return, the sponsor’s company logo is prominently displayed: on a board in the entrance area, across all HSG social media channels, and during successful on-court moments in the sports hall.
A particular highlight is the screen in the sports hall, where all player sponsors are showcased in a continuous loop.
The sponsorship is not only an excellent opportunity for companies to gain visibility, but also an important source of support for the club. The donations are made to the HSG’s support association, which then passes the funds on to the HSG. In this way, the sponsorship directly benefits the club.
