Recycling and Disposal.
From waste to resource: our innovative recycling approach for a greener future.
Closing the cycle together.
Sustainable Recycling.
Lithium batteries are valuable energy storage systems, and the end of their service life does not mean the end of their potential. With RE.LION.BAT. Circular GmbH, we focus on a sustainable solution for recycling lithium batteries. The company is investing in a sustainable lithium battery recycling facility that will run entirely on regional wind and solar power, minimizing its CO₂ footprint.
New life for old and batteries and battery packs. The benefit of returning valuable materials to the circular economy:
Recycling rates of up to 96%.
The Lithium Battery Recycling Process.
From safe transport and professional dismantling to recycling — this partnership enables us to take responsibility for a resource-efficient future. In this way, we actively contribute to the circular economy and ensure that batteries not only provide energy but are also used sustainably. In addition to battery materials, metals such as steel, aluminum, and copper as well as plastics are efficiently recovered and returned to the recycling loop.
Arrival
The deep-discharged, dismantled lithium batteries pass through an airlock system in an enclosed area under a nitrogen atmosphere.
Fragmentation
Here, the batteries are shredded by a multi-shaft rotor shear and then transported automatically via conveyor belts.
Dehydration
In the drying unit, the electrolytes are evaporated, then condensed and recovered.
Cleanup
A screening system selectively separates the black mass from residual components such as housing fragments.
Professional and usually free of charge.
Take-Back and Disposal.
As a provider of a wide range of solutions for rechargeable non-rechargeable batteries, we offer proper disposal of used batteries of all kinds.
Whether lead-acid batteries, button cells, or high-energy lithium batteries, we handle disposal for you and ensure that used batteries are fed into the correct recycling loop. Please note that in most cases, used batteries are classified as hazardous goods.
