A tribute to the famous airfield races, which took place until the 1930s, came to life again at this event in Obermehler in Thuringia. From 20 to 22 August 2021, there were historic cars and motorbikes to marvel at – something that is very rare to find in combination today.

Event for motorsport enthusiasts.
The Classic Motor Weekend is a true journey through automotive history! The open, historic paddock offers a glimpse behind the scenes and lets you experience the motorsport feeling up close. Races are no longer held on the 3 km long circuit, here it is much more about presenting your vehicle in demonstration runs and showing what you as the owner are proud of. Brand clubs met here, as did rallies that stopped off at the Classic Motor Weekend. Museums also presented their exhibits here.
Vehicles of various classes on the asphalt.
Cars, motorbikes, formula cars, vintage cars, sidecars and much more.
This year we were there for the first time as a sponsor at the Classic Motor Weekend in Obermehler-Schlotheim. Our stand at the pre-start covered approx. 30 square metres and had enough space for the ProtoChamp “Classic Fish”, which we were allowed to borrow from Gert Pollmann. With our Batterie24.de logo on the sides, it was a real eye-catcher and caused a lot of conversation.
At the event, we talked to many interested people and explained the topic of “batteries and everything that goes with them”. Of course, we also had all common battery types such as AGM, GEL, lead-acid and lithium batteries in our luggage. We were also able to give some people a jump start, charge various batteries and also test batteries – we were prepared for all eventualities! E-bike batteries were also exhibited at our stand and our battery repair service was explained to all interested parties, many of whom were amazed at the added value of a battery repair or cell exchange.
All in all, it was a successful premiere for us, we were able to gain many impressions and are already looking forward to the next Classic Motor Weekend in 2022, where we will also participate as a sponsor.
